Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase of tickets for, and participation in, "Hopp to the Pub" events, organised by Race Hopper and Hopp to Events ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a ticket, receiving a ticket, or participating in an event, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our indemnity waiver and Privacy Policy.

1. Tickets and entry

Tickets are sold through this website and are valid only for the named event and date. Each ticket admits one participant. You must provide accurate information when entering. We may close entries once an event reaches capacity.

2. Payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are payable in full at the time of purchase — tickets cannot be reserved without payment. Payments are processed securely by Yoco; we do not store your card details.

3. Refunds, transfers and postponement

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

Transfers: You may transfer your ticket to another person. The person using the ticket must agree to the indemnity waiver and these Terms, and is then bound by them.

Weather, changes and postponement: Our events go ahead in most weather, and no refunds are given due to poor weather conditions. An event may be changed or postponed due to weather or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control; if it is postponed, your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date. Any changes, postponements or other important updates will be communicated to ticket holders where necessary.

4. The indemnity waiver

Participation requires agreement to our Athlete Indemnity Agreement. By purchasing, receiving or using a ticket — whether you bought it yourself or were given it by someone else — you agree to the indemnity waiver and these Terms. If you buy tickets for other people, you confirm that each of those people agrees to the waiver and these Terms.

5. Participation, conduct and safety

Our events take place on public roads with no road closures, and you are responsible for your own safety and for obeying all traffic laws. Alcohol is consumed responsibly and entry is for persons aged 21 or older. Where advised (for example, events finishing after dark), you must bring suitable reflective gear and a headlamp. We may refuse entry to, or remove, any person behaving dangerously, illegally or irresponsibly, without a refund.

6. Changes to an event

We may change the route, participating pubs, timings or other details of an event where reasonably necessary. We will communicate material changes where we can.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the indemnity waiver you accept when entering, we are not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from your participation in an event. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
